Trek Shatili - Omalo
Our 2012 trekking tour will take you both in the Tusheti and Khevsureti region. Shatili in the West and Omalo in the East are the only real villages along the route, which makes for a genuinely challenging outdoor experience. If you really want to get off the beaten track, here's your chance.

This is a long distance, self-supported trekking, which means walking for 5-6 hours per day with a little help from the amazing caucasus horses.
The most challenging part is the Atsunta Pass (3431 mts), where the path will be barely visible and snow can be found even in the summer.

Important notes :
This is not an all-inclusive organized trip, this is a guided trekking.
Accomodation in the mountains (Shatili and Omalo), although in stunning places, is very basic.
Transportation will be also very basic and mountain roads are by no means to be considered as safe as in a developed country.
The program may change depending on weather and road conditions or other safety reasons.
Participants need not climbing skills, but mountain walking experience and good phisical conditions are necessary.
